ALAN Judge is relishing his return to Ewood Park.

And the Brentford midfielder has shown there is no hard feeling toward Gary Bowyer ahead of tonight’s clash.

The 26-year-old, who was allowed to join in the Bees in the summer by Bowyer, believes the Rovers boss is doing an ‘unbelievable job’.

Judge, who was unable to stop Brentford from losing 2-1 at home to nine-man Cardiff City on Saturday, said: “I am really looking forward to going back – especially now we need a win.

“I’ll be going back to a place I really do love and it’s the club where I grew up.

“I went back for a second time and it didn’t work out but the manager is doing an unbelievable job with the trouble they’ve had in the last three years.

“So, yes, I’m looking forward to it.”

Judge joined Rovers as a 17-year-old and made two first-team appearances before signing for Notts County in January 2011.

But he was tempted back to the club in the summer of 2013 by Bowyer.

Judge started last season in the Rovers starting line-up and he scored his first – and last – goal for the club in the League Cup defeat to Carlisle United.

But he made a loan move to the Bees in January 2013 and helped them secure the runners-up spot in League One before sealing a permanent summer switch.

Brentford’s hopes of making it back-to-back promotions were hit on Saturday when they were beaten by a Cardiff team who had a second player sent off late on.

But Judge said: “It should have been 4-0 or 5-0 and once or twice this year we’ve gone 1-0 up and not finished teams off.”
