BLACKBURN Rovers’ injury crisis has eased ahead of tonight’s game at home to Brentford – but only slightly.

Lee Williamson has recovered from the groin problem that forced him off in Saturday’s 3-1 win at Charlton Athletic and Rovers boss Bowyer is confident stand-in skipper Matt Kilgallon and Markus Olsson, who both sat out that match, will be fit.

But Craig Conway and Doneil Henry, who also limped off at the Valley, will play no part after undergoing scans yesterday to determine the extent of their hamstring injuries.

And, while captain Grant Hanley, David Dunn and Josh King are making progress, they remain sidelined along with Shane Duffy and Jason Lowe who will not play again this season.

Bowyer said: “It’s well documented we haven’t got the biggest of squads but we’ve played 17 games since January and that would take its toll on anybody.

“But the lads have been superb and whoever puts a shirt on goes and puts in a right shift and we saw that again on Saturday.”
