BURNLEY boss Sean Dyche jokingly expressed his delight after being questioned about the Clarets’ title hopes following their win over Manchester City.

Burnley defeated Premier League champions City 1-0 at Turf Moor to boost their chances of staying in the top flight this season.

But a slip of the tongue saw Dyche asked about Burnley’s title hopes rather than their survival hopes at the post-match press conference.

“Title fight?! Get in there! You beauty!” Dyche responded as he punched the air, to laughter from the press room.

The result left the Clarets 18th in the table, one point behind Sunderland.

Manchester City remained five points behind Chelsea in the real race for the title.
