JORDAN Rhodes starts for Blackburn Rovers in tonight’s Championship clash at home to neighbours Bolton Wanderers – just as Gary Bowyer said he would.

Rovers boss Bowyer revealed yesterday he would recall the 13-goal striker to his starting line-up tonight and that the club has no interest in letting Rhodes leave on loan despite interest from four rival Championship clubs.

Rhodes is one of four changes to the side that started Sunday’s superb 0-0 FA Cup quarter-final draw at Liverpool, the others being Jason Steele, home debutant Doneil Henry and Chris Brown.

Simon Eastwood, Lee Williamson and top-scorer Rudy Gestede drop to the bench with on-loan Alex Baptiste prevented from facing his parent club.

Bolton, who have not played since last Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at home to Reading, have made four changes to the team that started that match.

New loan signings Paddy McCarthy and Giles Coke come in for their debuts alongside Josh Vela and Rovers nemesis Emile Heskey.

Rovers: Steele, Henley, Henry, Kilgallon, Olsson, Marshall, Cairney, Evans, Conway, Rhodes, Brown. Subs: Eastwood, Spurr, Williamson, Taylor, Songo'o, Lenihan, Gestede.

Bolton: Amos, Vela, Mills, McCarthy, Ream, Janko, Danns, Coke, Feeney, Le Fondre, Heskey. Subs: Lonergan, Moxey, Hall, Trotter, Gudjohnsen, C Davies, Walker.
