GOALS from Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge condemned Burnley to defeat at Liverpool.
The Clarets have now taken just two points from a possible 21 and they remain 19th in the league following Aston Villa's win on Tuesday night.
After a dogged first half hour the resistance was broken when Henderson smashed a home from 20-yards after Phillipe Coutinho's shot was blocked by Jason Shackell.
Daniel Sturridge headed the second six minutes into the second half after Henderson's cross.
Burnley struggled to create chances going forward and they were thankful to Tom Heaton for keeping the score down, as he twice made good saves to deny Sturridge and also kept out another Henderson effort with a smart save.
