SO that's what it feel like. I'd almost forgotten.
Before Saturday's much-deserved 1-0 win over Hull City it had - apparently - been 196 days since we last tasted victory. And by George it felt good!
Yes, the visitors were poor in every area of the field but that should take nothing away from what was a very professional performance in which we were able to dominate in area of the field.
Sean Dyche tinkered with his side again, bringing in Ashley Barnes - left out of the matchday squad last week at Arsenal - and it paid dividends with the former Brighton man nodding the winner and putting in a very energetic display to fully justify his inclusion.
Alongside him Danny Ings also looked back to his very best and he was perhaps a little unlucky not to get on the scoresheet himself with a couple of decent efforts.
The best, just a minute or so into the game, started with a lucky bounce and superb piece of control but he guided his shot just wide.
A lot has been made of getting that first win but the belief has been there from pretty much everyone connected with the club and Saturday was the reward for maintaining that belief.
Dyche said after the game that it wasn't just about winning one game but going on and taking a lot of confidence from the first.
We've got a run of games coming up - especially at home with Aston Villa and Newcastle United - that fall into the winnable category. What a boost it would be to follow up our first win with a second and then a third.
I'm not going to get too far ahead of myself though and any points we can pick up over the next month or so will help shape the second half of our season.
Getting to January still in touch was always going to be key and while we're still bottom, the win against Steve Bruce's side has got us off the mark in the wins column and will perhaps help us settle down a little.
Dean Marney and David Jones look like they're beginning to rediscover the partnership that served us so well last term and the back five had a much quieter afternoon than in the last couple of weeks but dealt with the over-physical threat of Hull's frontline very comfortably.
The signs are good and with the international break next weekend, Dyche will feel the extra time with most of players will give him a real chance for plenty of work on the training ground to ensure this first win is a stepping stone to even more success.
