THE fit-again Lee Williamson has taken the place of Jordan Rhodes in Blackburn Rovers’ line-up for their Championship clash at Brighton & Hove Albion today.
It is the first time that Rhodes has not started a Championship match since January 18 when Rovers, who are unbeaten in six games, went down to a 4-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Brighton, who ended their 11-match winless run by winning 1-0 at home to Wigan Athletic in midweek, also make one change, with Rohan Ince replacing on-loan Liverpool midfielder Joao Teixeira.
Teixeira is one of six players Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia has on loan.
Rules state that a club can pick only five loan players in a matchday squad.
That means on-loan Wigan goalkeeper Al-Habsi, who was ineligible to face his parent club in the week, is the loanee to miss out.
And that means 18-year-old Christian Walton will again take his place between the posts.
Brighton: Walton, Calderon, Dunk, Greer, J Bennett, Forster-Caskey, Gardner, Ince, E Bennett, Baldock, Lua Lua. Subs: Ankergren, Halford, Holla, Colunga, McCourt, Teixeira, O'Grady.
Rovers: Steele, Baptiste, Hanley, Duffy, Olsson, Evans, Williamson, Tunnicliffe, Marshall, Cairney, Gestede. Subs: Eastwood, Henley, Dunn, Rhodes, Varney, Taylor, Conway.
