SATURDAY is a massive, massive game, there is no other way to describe it.
If we are to have any chance of staying up then we need to start winning games like Hull at home.
I'm not expecting it to be easy, no games in the Premier League are, and Steve Bruce spent a lot of money on his squad in the summer, they have brought in some quality players, and Burnley will have to play well to match them, but they are in the Premier League on merit and should be capable of doing that.
There is an international break after tomorrow's game, which I think adds to the importance of the match. To head into that two-week break with three points in the bag will be a weight off the shoulders and will give the players a bit of belief and confidence. If they don't manage that and it's 11 league games without a win then it is going to be a tough couple of weeks.
People around the club have said to me that there are four or five clubs who are down there and could go down, but I think it's a lot more, it's more like 10 or 12 and Burnley are capable of beating those sides. Despite the money they have spent Hull are only 14th and they could easily struggle as the season goes on.
Burnley have to go for it tomorrow, it's at home, they need a win, and they have to attack.
Aston Villa are next up at Turf Moor at Hull and they are another side who could be struggling and who the Clarets are capable of beating at home.
Talking of the international break, England Under 21s are playing at Turf Moor next week and I think it will be great for the town. There could be three Burnley players involved and it would be great to see Danny Ings start.
Danny got his first Premier League goal last week and he will be looking to add to that to tomorrow. He's a natural goal scorer and he will be want to be scoring once every couple of games, even at this level.
