BLACKBURN Rovers first-team coach Craig Short and Millwall first-team coach Marc Bircham have been charged by the FA following Tuesday night’s fiery 2-2 draw between the teams at the Den.
Bircham and Short were sent to the stands by referee Darren Deadman following a touchline bust-up involving members of both benches.
Tempers flared after Millwall right back Andy Wilkinson was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Rovers winger Ben Marshall.
An FA statement reads: “Both Marc Bircham and Craig Short, first team coaches of Millwall and Blackburn Rovers respectively, have been charged by the FA following the fixture between the two clubs on November 4, 2014.
“The FA alleges that the behaviour of both Bircham and Short during the game amounted to improper conduct.
“Both have until 6pm on November 10, 2014 to respond to the charge.”
Later in the match Lions manager Ian Holloway was sent from the touchline for something he said to the fourth official.
The FA statement continued: “Meanwhile, Millwall manager Ian Holloway has formally been reminded by the FA of his responsibilities also in relation to his behaviour during this fixture.”
