BLACKBURN Rovers defender Grant Hanley has been named in the Scotland squad for upcoming matches against Republic of Ireland and England, but there is no place for Jordan Rhodes.
The striker has continued to impress in the Championship, but it is over a year since his last internatoinal cap.

Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield has also been overlooked by Gordon Strachan.
Rangers midfielder Lewis Macleod has instead been awarded his first senior call-up. His inclusion in the squad comes on the back of scoring seven goals for the Scottish Championship side.
The 20-year-old has been capped at every level from Under 16s to U21s.
Scotland will play the Republic in a crucial European Championship qualifier at Celtic Park on November 14 before facing England in a friendly at the same venue four days later.
Stoke City full-back Phil Bardsley has been recalled to the squad in the absence of the injured Alan Hutton while Sheffield Wednesday striker Stevie May retains his place and Celtic's Charlie Mulgrew returns from injury and suspension.
Regarding the selection of Macleod, Strachan said: “I like bringing young players along, they add enthusiasm to the squad.”
