BLACKBURN Rovers have been forced to make one change for tonight’s Championship clash at Millwall.
In-form midfielder Lee Williamson has not recovered from the groin injury that he picked up in Saturday’s 3-1 home victory over Reading.
Williamson’s place is taken by Ryan Tunnicliffe, who came on for him at half-time against the Royals and helped Rovers record their fourth straight victory.
Millwall, in contrast, are searching for only their second win in 11 league games.
Ian Holloway makes two changes to the team that started the Lions’ 3-1 loss at Watford on Saturday as Danny Shittu and Mark Beevers replace Alan Dunn and Byron Webster at centre back.
Shittu and Webster were both rested against the Hornets in order to be fully fit to combat Rovers’ eight-goal top-scorer Rudy Gestede.
Millwall boss Holloway said: “They play with switched wingers, so a right-footer on the left and a left-footer on the right.
“They’ll try to cut inside and let their full backs run outside us. They’ll hit Gestede early but we’ll have big centre backs in the team to deal with him.
“It won’t matter if he’s on the left or the right because both centre backs can mark him.”
Millwall: Forde, Wilkinson, Shittu, Beevers, Briggs, Williams, Upson, McDonald, Martin, Fuller, Woolford. Subs: King, Dunne, Webster, Chaplow, Gueye, Gregory, Ranegie.
Rovers: Steele, Baptiste, Hanley, Duffy, Olsson, Cairney, Evans, Tunnicliffe, Marshall, Gestede, Rhodes. Subs: Eastwood, Henley, Kilgallon, Dunn, Varney, Taylor, Conway.
