IT HAS been a hugely successful season for Ribble Valley Netball Club – none more so than their all-conquering Under 14s team.
Having won the prestigious Under 14s National Championships earlier in the year, team coach Sara Thompson decided to set the squad a challenge by entering them in the very competitive Witton Ladies League.
The aim was to give the team some experience playing against bigger, stronger and tougher opposition.
The squad certainly rose to the challenge, winning every game over the season and ended up being crowned league champions.
The club finished the 2014 outdoor season off in style at the Chorley Dominoes Tournament after every team that entered finished in the top three in their respective age groups.
“The girls put what they have been learning in training in the build up to the tournament into their match play and came away with a large amount of medals and trophies for there effort,” said Thompson. I would like to thank all the girls that played over the season and also the ever obedient parents for being loyal taxi drivers!”
