SEAN Dyche has told Danny Ings to learn from the example set by Alexis Sanchez in Burnley’s defeat at Arsenal on Saturday.
Chile star Sanchez scored twice in a superb performance as the Clarets were beaten 3-0 at the Emirates at the weekend, with Dyche among many to be thoroughly impressed by the former Barcelona forward’s display.

The Burnley boss made a particular point of speaking to Ings after the game to take note of everything that Sanchez did so well, as the 22-year-old Clarets striker attempts to improve his own game as he gains more experience in the top flight.
“It was his movement and his energy,” Dyche said of Sanchez.
“I said to Ingsy afterwards that’s part of your development, to play like that, because he was non-stop.
“Forget about all the quality that he’s got, he was non-stop.
“I think yet again there are things we can take from ourselves and there are also things we can take from the opposition – where we want to take this team, how we want to take it on.”
Dyche sprung a minor surprise by handing a start to boyhood Arsenal fan Marvin Sordell at the Emirates.
The forward looked to use his pace on the counter attack but like strike partner Ings saw little of the service that a dominant Arsenal provided at the other end.
“We wanted to operate on the counter, to be honest it’s very rare that teams don’t go to Arsenal and try to operate on the counter,” Dyche said.
“We thought we could play in pockets as well, in the first 15 minutes of the second half I thought we delivered really well – not just tactically but the understanding of the team, keeping the ball and trying to carve out chances.
“We tweaked the team again and you’ve got to make the best of the group and find the group that can operate at this level.
“Generally speaking there were some good signs of that.
“We had to make a couple of changes later on, Marns (Dean Marney) had to come off because we had to protect him because of his hamstring but I thought he delivered well.
“Marvin ran out of steam so we had to get him off but that wouldn’t have affected the outcome, Arsenal were very hot on the day.”
Despite the defeat, Dyche thinks that goalkeeper Tom Heaton will benefit from his performance on Saturday.
Heaton made a number of fine saves that kept the scoreline down on a day when Arsenal had 32 shots.
“There were some safe saves for him to make and then after the first goal there were three or four great chances for them,” Dyche said.
“It’s the reality of it. Tom will grow from that performance, that’s for sure.”
