DEFIANT defender Michael Duff has warned ‘we have to do better’ – Burnley’s winless start to the Premier League stretched to a 10th game at Arsenal.
Sean Dyche’s side were disciplined in a goalless first half at the Emirates.
But Alexis Sanchez did the damage with his second half double, either side of Calum Chambers’ first senior goal.

The defeat, Burnley’s sixth defeat of the season, kept them bottom of the table with four points from 10 games, and maintained their status as the only side in all four English divisions awaiting their first victory.
And while there were positive elements that Burnley will look to take into Saturday’s home game against Hull City, to try to break their duck ahead of another fortnight’s break for internationals, Duff refused to shy away from the disappointment of the manner in which the goals were conceded.
He insisted the players had to take responsibility and improve.
“It’s disappointing to concede but personally I think the most disappointing thing was to concede from a set piece straight after that.
"That kills the game then and it's happened too many times. We've conceded one then we've conceded two a couple of minutes afterwards and it's something we've got to address,” said the centre half, who was particularly frustrated with Sanchez getting in between himself and Kieran Trippier to head in the opening goal.
"It's just disappointing that the lad that scored the header is 5ft 7ins.
"Then we concede a corner straight after that for the second. That’s the annoying thing.
"If we can stay in the game with five or 10 minutes to go we can still have a real go at them. But that's the quality you're coming up against.”
Burnley have been particularly vulnerable from crosses and set pieces this season, so it was with added frustration that a corner - one of 18 conceded - led to the Gunners’ second.
"I think the set pieces haven't been good enough,” Duff continued.
"It's hard enough in this league as it is without conceding so many goals from set plays.
"That's something we know we need to improve on. It's just people taking responsibility, individually.
"Everyone gets their jobs before a game, it's a case of people having to do better."
Sanchez sealed the win in stoppage time with his second of the afternoon and Arsenal’s third, but Duff said: "I don't think it was a 3-0 game. I don't think we deserved that, but that's sort of the way it's going at the minute.
"I thought we did well for the first 70 minutes.
"I thought we came out and started the second half really well. They were on the back foot a little bit.
“But at the end of the day it’s a harsh lesson in a harsh league."
Duff, however, admitted there were plus points in the way Burnley nullified Arsenal’s threat for the first 70 minutes.
"We camped in a little bit more than we normally do. It's not easy to come to these sorts of places,” he said.
"It was a different way that we played so it shows we've got a bit of versatility. We can play different ways when we have to adapt, because you can't always come and play the way you want to play, especially when you come to grounds like this and come up against players like this.
"There are always positives and plenty of things to learn from as well, whether they are negatives. We'll look at them and address them. The gaffer didn't say a lot. We'll have the debrief on Monday and take it to pieces then. Immediately for me it's the set pieces that concern us."
