GARY Bowyer has admitted he has missed out on bringing a new face to Ewood Park on loan this week, and the Lancashire Telegraph understands the player in question is Tom Ince.
Bowyer said the club had been looking to add a player with Championship experience to the squad, but that they had just missed out on the signing.

Ince joined Nottingham Forest on loan for two months yesterday, having failed to force his way into the Hull City first team following his summer move to the KC Stadium.
The former Liverpool youngster scored 33 goals in 113 games for Blackpool, and also played eight times on loan for Crystal Palace in the Premier League last season.
“We just missed out on a very good player,” said Bowyer, “he would have added some Championship experience, he would have added some quality to the group, but it wasn’t to be, so we move on.
“If the right player becomes available then we’d be stupid not to try and convince the owners to give us the backing to try and get players in that are going to help us and add quality to the squad.”
