Burnage 31 Rossendale 43 Rossendale move up to sixth place in National Three North following a 31-43 win away to Burnage.
Paddy Pole led the way with a try from a catch and drive,converted by Steve Nutt with a break by Danny Collins getting the supporting George Peel over for the second. Peel brought up the third benefitting from turn over ball and a break by Ryan McKibbin with Collins taking the bonus point with a fourth try again from a catch and drive. Nutt slotted the conversion for 0-24 at the interval. Tom Bedlow extended the lead, finishing off some great play across the backline, Nutt again on hand with the extras but with Collins sent off for retaliation on the hour the home side staged a come back with two tries from Stuart Oldham both converted by James Hodder.
Leyton Taylor pulled one back for the visitors yet again from a catch and drive. Burnage replied with a try from Andy Ashcroft, Hodder striking the conversionm but a try from Jamie Albinson darting over in typical fashion from behind the ruck, Nutt adding the conversion to 'steadied the ship' despite two late tries for the home side from Jim Willam and Josh Kapp.
