Anya Richmond is working her way up the rugby ladder after being handed a county call and with North of England trials in January.
Blessed Trinity Year Nine student Anya, who lives in Cliviger, has just come through the Lancashire Under 15 trials.
“I play for Burnley RUFC as second row and we had Lancashire trials at Eccles,” said Anya who went with her fellow Blessed Trinity student, fly half Sophie Gavin – who both play for Burnley RUFC – who didn’t get through. “It was scary but I was glad to get picked and we have just played our first county game and now I can look forward to the trials.”
