THE job Sean Dyche is doing at Burnley is ‘fantastic’, according to former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson, who has a reputation for the support and guidance he has offered young managers in the past, was asked during an interview for United’s in-house TV channel MUTV if he still regularly handed out advice to up and coming bosses.

The Scot revealed that he had recently received a phone call from Dyche – praising the Clarets boss.
Asked if he still received phone calls from managers seeking advice, Ferguson said: “One or two, not many (still ring).
“I think they probably think I'm dead! I’m in the past!
“But I’m still involved with the League Managers, I'm still on the committee, still have dialogue with Richard Bevan and there’s a good committee there. Good experience with Sam Allardyce and people like that.
“I had a chat with Sean Dyche – he phoned me not so long ago. I think he is one of the (most) promising managers in the game.
“The job he has done at Burnley has been fantastic.
“I like to see young people do well.”
