THE late equaliser at Leicester City by Ross Wallace could spark the season into life for Burnley.
It was a fantastic strike by Ross coming off the bench. The fans had been in great voice all afternoon and it sent them hope very happy.
The lads will believe there are more points to be gained after that.
Leicester are no pushovers, as they have shown already this season with some excellent results, so to pick up a draw after going behind twice is a great point. It also shows character to come back and get the equaliser, proving the spirit they had last season is still there.
These are established players, they are comfortable footballers and if you have to play them in a certain position to do a job for you then they will do what they can.
It was nice to see the team playing as a group and it also nice to see young Steven Hewitt on the bench, it shows he is doing the right things in training. Maybe the game was just a little too early for him.
It was also good to finally see the Clarets find the net! The players will have tried to block it out but they knew they weren’t scoring goals.
As players and as a group of supporters you are waiting for that goal to go in, they often say that when one goal comes along another follows, and so it proved at Leicester.
The two at the King Power shows there are goals in this team and hopefully a few more will come along now.
Something else that will help the goals for column is Danny Ings.
To see him back around the squad is fantastic. He has proved with what he did last season that he is a fantastic asset, and if he can find his scoring boots then it will be brilliant to have him back.
It is West Ham next Saturday and Big Sam was under a lot of pressure towards the end of last season. But to be fair West Ham have proved a few doubters wrong this season, they are certainly in better form than Everton, who go to Turf Moor the week after.
It’s a chance for Burnley to end that wait for a first win of the season.
