Bacup and Ross’dale Boro 0 1874 Northwich 4

Bacup & Rossendale Borough were well in the game up until a poor ten minute spell in the second half allowed 1874 Northwich take the victory.

Manager Brent Peters made two changes to the midweek loss against Silsden welcoming back the experienced Gareth Wager and Nathan Bond.

And his side started the game brightly and Shaun Plummer could have given Bacup a first minute lead but fired straight at the keeper when clean through.

Bacup continued to create chances but it was the visitors who took the lead through Paul Connor in the 20th minute.

Bacup started the second half well but again could not make their chances count, this time Nathan Bond shooting over.

Northwich then doubled their lead on the hour mark through Matthew Beadle and Ryan Mitchell made it 3-0 five minutes later to seal victory.

And with 12 minutes remaining, with Bacup pushing forward, Sakeel Abdullah nipped in to make it 4-0.
