FAITH Pitman will compete for the bronze medal in the repechage competition this evening after defeating Marcon Bezzina of Malta.
The Todmorden judoka’s gold medal hopes in the women’s judo were shattered this morning after losing to Canadian Beatrice Valois Fortier to a yuko throw.

Pitman, a third dan, takes on Katharina Haeker of Australia at 6pm.
