LOWERHOUSE are gearing up to put a spectacular occasion on when they aim to retain their Moorhouse’s Lancashire League Twenty20 crown on Friday night.
The House, who suffered the pain of the narrowest of defeats in the Foster’s Worsley Cup on Sunday, will welcome Church to the Neville Gee Recruitment Ground for the short-form spectacular.
And after the success of last year’s final when Lowerhouse hammered Ramsbottom in front of a gigantic crowd, club chiefs are planning to make this year’s version bigger and better than ever.
Lowerhouse won through to the final thanks to a win over Nelson at Seedhill last Friday, the first of two weekend last-four losses for Neil Thompson’s men, and they now face a Church side who have impressed all season in the short form.
Harvey Aspin was their main man in the semi-final win at Haslingden and Craig Fergusson’s men are determined to end their wait for silverware.
The gates will open at 5.15pm on Friday with a full bar and tea room service available. The House will also put on additional bars as well as barbecues to cope with expected demand.
