Enfield’s cricketers boosted club funds by taking part in a relay marathon around the Lancashire League’s 14 clubs on Saturday – and followed that up with a stunning derby win at Accrington a day later.

Senior playing members set off from Dill Hall Lane at 6am in the relay and landed back at their ground shortly before 5pm in a time of 10 hours 59 minutes – beating the target of 13 hours – in the event organised by the Social Committee
