BACUP & ROSSENDALE Borough boss Brent Peters has started his preparations for the new season with a treble appointment.
Peters, whose side earned a reprieve from relegation to remain in the North West Counties League Premier Division for next season, has appointed Andy Barlow as his first team coach as well as naming Lee Oldham club captain and Adrian Bellamy team captain.
Barlow, who will be assisted by performance coach Jimmy Petruzzi, is an FA qualified coach and has experience working in Europe.
Of the appointment, Peters said: “I am delighted to be bringing Andy on board in a more senior role having impressed me during the last few weeks of last season when he did first arrive at the club.”
“This appointment was needed by the fact that Jimmy was very seldom in attendance at games due to his work commitments running NLP courses around Europe.”
Oldham is in his tenth season with the club and his role will also include helping with the junior and youth sides as well as work in the community.
New team captain Bellamy, a former Manchester United and England youth player, is in his fourth season with Bacup having spent time away with Salford City.
Former Blackburn Rovers trainee Shane Birtles will be Borough’s vice captain.
