Tom Smith has been tipped for an England call-up by former national coach David Lloyd.

Smith followed up his first innings half-century with five wickets yesterday as Lancashire took charge of the Roses match at Headingley.

And Accrington’s Lloyd said: “Smith’s having an excellent time. I wouldn’t be surprised if he played one-dayers for England this year.”
