IT was brilliant to see women’s cricket taking to the greatest stage of all yesterday as the MCC faced the Rest of the World at Lord’s in a special match to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the home of cricket.
Lancashire’s Kate Cross had a fine day claiming four wickets with her quick bowling and the only downside was that no room could be found on Sky Sports’ multitude of stations to screen such an historic event.
