MIDFIELDER Tom Cairney has been named Blackburn Rovers' player of the year.
Cairney was presented with the award, which was voted for by the fans, before today's final game of the season at home to Wigan Athletic.
Fellow midfielder Jason Lowe was awarded goal of the season for his stunning 25-yard strike in November's 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at Ewood Park.
Lowe, from it was his first goal for the club, was presented with the Peter White Memorial Trophy, named after the great Lancashire Telegraph Rovers reporter Peter White.
