Nelson remained in prime position for promotion to the NWCFL Premier Division after a 4-2 win over fourth place Atherton Collieries.
An outstanding first half the Blues score three times through a Peter Wright brace and one for Joe O’Neill, with the arrears reduced by Gareth Peets excellent free-kick.
The second period was a more even affair with the visitors scoring through a Peet penalty before Liam Boswell made the points safe in the dying moment.
