JOEY Barton is right to say that Wayne Rooney has not fulfilled the immense potential he had at 18.
Barton said that Rooney had lagged behind his former Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Rooney potentially, could have been world class," he told the BBC. "But why is Ronaldo a Ballon d'Or winner and Rooney isn't?"
