I SAID last week that if we failed to beat Watford or Millwall that could be it for our play-off chances.
But despite drawing our last four games now, other results have gone our way and we still have a chance of making the top six.
It’s such a strange division.
We’ve got two home games to come against teams in the top half of the table – Ipswich and QPR – but after that we have a run of games against teams down at the other end.
I’ve looked at all the remaining fixtures for the teams above Blackburn, and they have all got hard games.
Many matches are between those clubs who are around each other in or near the play-off places.
So if we can come through the next two home games, and pick up some results, we could have a chance as the four games that follow are very winnable.
Yes, they are against teams who could be fighting for their survival, but by the time they play us they could already be down.
That’s why the next two home games are massive and it’s so important not to lose them.
If we do our season dies, and players seem to start thinking about their holidays.
But when we’ve still got a chance you just hope the players can put that extra bit in and try to get us in the play-offs.
