OUT-OF-FAVOUR Blackburn Rovers forward Leon Best has joined Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday on a one-month emergency loan.
The 27-year-old, who spent two loan spells with the Owls earlier in his career, will remain at Hillsborough until March 12 and has been given permission to play in their FA Cup fifth-round tie at home to Charlton Athletic tomorrow.
Best has not played for Rovers in nearly four months with his last appearance for the club coming in the 1-0 home loss to Charlton on October 19.
The Republic of Ireland international has scored two goals in 16 games for Rovers since his move from Newcastle United in July 2012.
Best, who was also attracting from interest from Charlton, missed most of last season through injury.
