Hoddlesden will be kicking themselves after letting slip a 4-0 lead over fellow title contenders Park A.
The home team got the perfect start as skipper Dave Fenwick took the opener against his opposite number Mark Jennings, Things got better in frame 2 when veteran Jim Ollerton put paid to the highly rated Mark Farrimond. A superb run of 56 from Jake Loftus gave them the next and when Fenwick and Loftus took the first doubles it was looking great for the Con Club.
Baz O'Kane had different ideas though and started the comeback with a hard fought victory against Jas Hoole.
When Steve Aspinall pinched the next on the black Park began to believe in themselves again and when O'Kane and Olly Taylor took the last doubles it was going to be a tight final frame.
Danny Haworth for the visitors was in sparkling form as he easily despatched Hoddlesden star man Steve Hill to earn the draw and keep his teams title hopes alive. Both teams will have to go some to keep up with leaders Greenfield who once again looked superb as they destroyed Punch 6-2.
The visitors overcame tricky room conditions with ease as Chris Lawson and the rejuvenated Gaz Hampson both fired in quality breaks of 73 and 55 respectively.
With Alan Heaton adding a beautifully taken run of 35 nobody could understand all the fuss about the new snooker room!
Reigning champions Fox & Hounds battled to a 5-3 win away at Blackburn Golf Club, the youngsters Mick Webster and Scott Morris impressing yet again.
Add that to a resurgent Lee Entwistle and new signing Ged Patton and who's to say their title reign is over? Stanhill continued their recent good run, this time notching a fine 6-2 win away at Mill Hill.
If the Ossy outfit can continue in this vein they may yet salvage something from what has been, by their standards, a disappointing season. Cherry Tree defeated Park B 5-3 away in the final fixture.
Division 2 leaders VIP Snooker A were held at home by a quickly improving Anchor who are going from strength to strength under new skipper Bob Graves. Nearest rivals Longshaw B won 5-3 against Orchard WMC, highlight here a nice 52 break from Jonny Hannan, and third placed Feniscowles kept themselves in the mix with a 5-3 win over Blackburn Golf B. It looked as though it was going to be an easy night for Fenny as they raced into a 3-0 lead before Craig Leach for the visitors surprised Andy Rourke 56-17. Victories for new signings Mountain and Tate for the Golf Club made the scoreline more realistic. An entertaining match up at Rishton Golf Club ended honours even when Longshaw A played their part in a thriller that saw the sides trade frames from beginning to end. Colin Mawman for the visitors enjoyed one of his rare forays onto the small tables winning his frame by an impressive 50-1 scoreline. VIP Snooker B kept themselves up there with 5-3 win away at Hole I'th Wall. The home team took a 3-1 lead before VIP came back strongly winning the last 4 frames. The results leave VIP A 2 points clear of Longshaw B, who have a game in hand. Feniscowles are 8 points further back.
