ADAM Brittle scored four goals as Blackburn Hawks claimed a 7-2 home win against Whitley Warriors on Sunday.
Hawks led 3-1 at the end of the first 20 minutes against the north east side and extended that advantage to 5-2 after the second period, before adding two more goals in the last period.
Brittle netted four times, having scored once in each of Hawks’ recent victories against Manchester Minotaurs and Sheffield Spartans.
Jake Nurse scored twice against Whitley, while Scott Robson also got on the scoresheet.
It was Hawks’ 12th win in their last 13 matches and kept them in second place in the Moralee Conference on 30 points.
Billingham Stars are third, also on 30 points, but Solway Sharks hold a commanding six-point lead at the top.
Hawks have five league games remaining before the play-offs and travel over the Pennines to Spartans on Saturday with the game starting at 7.30pm.
