ST CHRISTOPHER’S High School have been crowned Hyndburn and Ribble Valley swimming champions after storming to glory.
The Accrington school finished 14 points clear of their nearest rivals Ribblesdale High School after winning 11 of the 23 events at the annual HRV swimming gala.
The competition attracted teams from six secondary schools from across the two boroughs.
As well as St Christopher’s and Ribbledale High, other schools to take part were Bowland, Oakhill, St Augustines and Holins High.
While the super Saints lead the way with 11 victories in the pool, Ribblesdale won won six as they finished with a total of 147 points.
Bowland finished in third place despite touching home first in just one race with St Augustines fourth with 113 points and three wins. Oakhill and Hollins , with one win each with fifth and sixth respect ively.
