BLACKBURN Rovers, Burnley and Accrington Stanley all face hectic festive periods with the games coming thick and fast.
Saturday’s matches were the first of five matches in just two weeks for each of East Lancashire’s clubs.
And with many non top-flight sides carrying smaller squads is it time for a winter break to be introduced in the Football League? Or does that hinder the fans, and indeed the finances of clubs, with Christmas fixtures often attracting some of the biggest crowds of the season?
