NOW that's what you call a Saturday!
All three East Lancashire teams stepped up to the plate when required meaning the fans got their perfect early Christmas present.
Burnley fans probably have more to shout about at the moment and know they will be tucking into their Christmas dinner while sat at the top of the Championship table.
And Rovers are also in a good place on the field at the moment - and make no mistake that was an excellent three points against a rapidly improving Yeovil Town.
Weirdest result of the day belonged to Accrington Stanley.
Two goals in stoppage time earned them a win at Mansfield and those three points lifted spirits around the Reds, who had been slipping back down the League Two table.
There is, of course, a long way to go this season but at least our locals can enjoy the next few days.
* Graeme Swann has taken the decision to quit international and First Class cricket with immediate effect, midway through the Ashes tour.
England are 3-0 down, the Urn is gone and the tour goes from chaos to disaster.
Oh well, back to square one.
