Rossendale 36 Percy Park 24
Rossendale maintain their seven point lead at the the top of National Three North following a 36-24 win at home to Percy Park.
The visitors took a 7-0 lead with a converted try before Jamie Albinson went in for his side’s opening try, taking the scoring pass after Danny Collins had picked up at the back of a scrum 10 metres out. The north east side hit back with a second converted try with James Bramhall getting Rossendale back on track with a second from turn over ball at the line out again set up by Collins, the outside half also slotting the conversion for 12-14 at half time.
Save for a penalty most of the second half belong to the Valley side and it was Collins again this time putting Paddy Pole over, Bramhall on hand with the extras. A turn over at a line out brought a second for Pole and the bonus point with Collins adding the fifth himself again from a line out 15 metres out. Bramhall added the conversion but although Percy Park went over for a converted try Anthony Bingham sealed the win for the league leaders, benefitting from good work by Tom Bedlow and Bramhall.
