THREE key members of Blackburn Rovers manager’s Gary Bowyer’s backroom team have been invited to attend a special end-of-season event.
Head of sports medicine Dave Fevre, head of sports science Chris Neville, and club doctor Duncan Robertson have been named as expert guest speakers at the inaugural League Medical Association Conference, which will take place over FA Cup final weekend.
The Rovers trio will take centre stage along with two representatives from the British Olympic Association, two from the Football Association and the physios from Chelsea and Manchester City.
The conference, which will feature lectures and seminars, best practice talks, panel discussions and community networking, will be inspired by a ‘Best of British’ theme to celebrate the world-class abilities of those working within the football medical and science professions within the UK.
Rovers managing director Derek Shaw said: “We are very proud to have not one but three guest speakers at such a prestigious event.
“It is testimony to the hard work and skilled service they provide the club on a day-to-day basis.”
