RUBEN Rochina is back in full training with Blackburn Rovers.

Yesterday was the first time that the midfielder had trained alongside his team-mates after dislocating his shoulder on the opening day of the season.

Although the Spaniard has no chance of featuring for Rovers in tomorrow’s Championship clash at Brighton & Hove Albion, it is a major development in his rehabilitation.

A delighted Rochina tweeted: “First full training with my team-mates after three months out. Good feeling.”

Rovers boss Gary Bowyer said he was delighted to welcome the Spaniard back into the first team picture.

Bowyer said: “It is pleasing that Ruben has joined in his first session.

“But it’s too early for him that’s for sure.”

Fellow midfielders David Dunn and Dickson Etuhu, however, could be included in Bowyer’s squad for the trip to Brighton.

Dunn has missed the last nine matches after undergoing two knee operations.

But after coming through two weeks of training, he hopes to win a place on the bench tomorrow.

Etuhu could also be named among the substitutes.

The Nigerian has not played for Rovers’ first team since December 15, 2012 because of a serious knee injury.

But he played his first full 90 minutes in almost a year on Monday, when he lined up for the club’s under-21s team, and has since showed no ill effects.

Defender Grant Hanley returns from suspension while striker Leon Best has overcome the groin strain that ruled him out of last weekend’s 1-0 home victory over Middlesbrough.

Tommy Spurr came off in that match with an ankle knock but could be fit to face the Seagulls.

Forward DJ Campbell still has two games of his three-match ban to serve while Corry Evans remains sidelined with ankle-ligament damage. Paul Robinson is still working his way back to fitness after recovering from a blood clot on his lung.
