BRIGHTON’S horrendous injury list will lead to Keith Andrews lining up against his former club Blackburn Rovers at the Amex tomorrow.

The Republic of Ireland international was in and out of the Seagulls starting line-up at the start of the campaign after signing on a season-long loan from Bolton Wanderers.

But with key man Liam Bridcutt sidelined with a hernia problem, Andrews has made the position in front of the centre-backs his own.

Bridcutt had hoped to make his comeback against Rovers.

Bridcutt is joined on the sidelines by Kemy Agustien, Andrea Orlandi, Kazenga LuaLua, Leo Ulloa, Craig Mackail-Smith, Will Hoskins and – most recently – Will Buckley.

Brighton assistant manager Nathan Jones said: “We are looking for the sniper in the stand.

“It’s not like it’s just a few injuries – it’s a nightmare.

“It’s key, key players and it’s not getting any better.”

Winger Buckley went off with a hamstring strain in the Seagulls’ 3-1 victory at Doncaster last Saturday.

It was a victory which ended their five-game winless run and moved them up to 12th.

No team in the top half has scored fewer goals than Brighton, but their defence, marshalled by former Rovers youngster Gordon Greer and ex-England international Matthew Upson, is one of the best in the Championship.

Greer joined Rovers for £250,000 in May 2001 from Clyde. The Scotsman, who is hoping to win his first international cap next week, made just one competitive appearance at Ewood Park before joining Kilmarnock on a free in August 2003.
