ST Matthews B still head the Burnley Sunday School Snooker League despite slipping to their first defeat of the season.
The potters, who are still four points clear of second-placed Briercliffe Road B, saw their colours lowered on their own table when they were edged out 3-2 by Greenbrook.
Briercliffe were inactive thanks to their open date - but their position in second wasn’t harmed as third-placed Haggate were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by a St Matthews A side who had only won one game prior to that stroll.
Briercliffe Road A claimed just their second win of the campaign and lifted themselves off the foot of the table at the same time as they eased to a 4-1 win over Newchurch, who replace them in last place.
