RICK Coar’s late, late show saw Longridge United grab a last gasp win at Euxton Villa in the West Lancashire Premier League.

Coar fired Longridge ahead in the first half – before Jordan Horner levelled it for Euxton.

But Longridge nicked the points as hot-shot Coar struck again deep into stoppage time.

Burnley United had no answer to leaders Charnock Richard, though, who remains eight points clear at the summit after a Mike Fletcher double earned them an easy 3-0 win over Burnley.

Chris Byrne, Oliver McClean and Andrew Howarth were on the mark for Division One title chasers Hurst Green, but it was all in vain as a Ryan Tansar hat-trick earned Lytham Town a 5-3 win in the Ribble Valley.

Mill Hill St Peters continue to struggle and they remain rooted in the bottom three after a 6-1 mauling at home by top of the table Lostock St Gerards. Jonathan Lincoln netted Mill Hill's consolation goal.

Turton picked up their first away win of the season after winning 4-0 at Dalton United thanks to three own goals and a Billy McGuinness effort.

In Division Two, Todmorden Borough made the long trip to Cumbria to face Walney Island and a Sam Clayton goal saw them edged out 1-0 in Furness.

There was success for Mill Hill St Peters Reserves who eased through to the second round of the Houston Cup with a 4-0 win at Hesketh Bank, thanks to three goals from Carl Fletcher.

Hurst Green’s second string are also in the hat after Danny Mort and Chris Scott saw them defeat Longridge Town Reserves 2-1 (Liam Evason) Todmorden Borough Reserves were knocked out 3-1 by Charnock Richard Reserves.
