EIGHTEEN-year-old Amar Ayad competed on a show organised by Clayton ABC at Rose Grove WMC Burnley.
Amar, a member of Blackburn with Darwen Police ABC, boxed against Michael McCarthy from Cashel ABC Ireland.
It was good start to Ayad’s career as he hasn’t boxed for the last three years.
His performance was bit below par but enough to win However, he went the distance with his very strong opponent and after three rounds all judges gave the unanimous decision in Ayad’s favour.
Blackburn with Darwen Police ABC will hold an ‘Olympic Boxing Night’ at the Beechwood Club in Blackburn on Friday from 8pm.
