Blackburn Rovers face Reading having lost six of their previous eight league matches and are nearer the foot of the table than the top.

But manager Mark Hughes insists they have enough quality to get out of trouble.

He said: "We do not want to spend length of time at the bottom, that it clear.

"We had experience of it in my first year and we turned it around.

"It is not as if we have not gone through this process before.

"But we are certainly in a lot better shape now as a club and a team when I first came through the door.

"I have no worries. We are a good team and will get points on board."

Hughes is expected to restore Michael Gray, Tugay, Morten Gamst Pedersen, Benni McCarthy and Shabani Nonda to the starting line-up.

The Blackburn boss is hoping the victory against Nancy will give them a lift.

He said: "We have been able to give key guys a rest ahead of an important and hectic period in the next couple of weeks.

"We had to try and protect them. I felt the one opportunity to do that was against Nancy and it paid off.

"I am sure the guys will benefit for it.

"It was a job well done in the UEFA Cup and that confidence from midweek bodes well for the weekend."
