Caretaker boss Gary Bradshaw has been handed the reigns at Nelson for the foreseeable future following the resignation of Graham Haworth last week.
And Bradshaw's first league test is a relegation six-pointer against fellow North West Counties Division One strugglers St Helens Town at Victoria Park.
"The chairman told me he's quite happy for me to carry on," said Bradshaw.
"It could be that I'm here until the end of the season.
"What's important is that everybody at the club closes ranks as we try to get up the league table."
