FORMER Burnley star Glen Little is expecting a hostile reception tomorrow when his Reading side take on Blackburn Rovers.

And the midfielder is hoping to write the wrongs of previous encounters, having suffered a 5-0 hammering at the hands of Rovers during his days at Turf Moor.

Little, who made 282 appearances for the Clarets, scoring 36 goals, said: "Luckily, we never came up against them too often.

"We played them twice in the eight years I was with Burnley and lost 2-0 and 5-0.

"I missed the 2-0 but unfortunately I was back for the 5-0.

"Most of the time we were in the Division Two when they were Premiership champions.

"The fans were jealous of Jack Walker's millions.

"Then we got promoted and they got relegated and we were in the same league for a season which shows how well Burnley were doing.

"But there's always been a big gulf between the clubs.

"We were just pleased to be in the same division as them and it gave the Burnley fans a couple of big days out.

"They were massive games. Before that the big ones were against Preston and Blackpool. Suddenly we were playing the recent Premiership champions.

"We finished seventh that year and missed out on the play-offs on the last day when Blackburn went up.

"They were good times. I might get a few boos from the Blackburn fans but they're probably not bothered about someone like me."
