Surely now we can dare to dream that this season might just end up being something rather special.

Victory at Ipswich on Saturday means we have made our best league start to a campaign since 1897. Yep, you read that correctly, 1897!

Incredible stuff, especially when you look at what Sean Dyche has had to play with in terms of budgets etc.

Ever since his first press conference as Burnley boss Dyche has spoken of a one club mentality and while it seemed like a nice soundbite at the time, he has actually forged it in front of our very eyes.

I think it is fair to say that the word impossible doesn't even exist in Dyche's vocabulary and he is a firm believer in the fact that anything can happen if you put your mind to it and work hard.

Hard work is what great teams are built on and that is what we are seeing at Turf Moor – and on the road – this season.

No team has a God-given right to success and there is something very satisfying about sitting at the top of the pile and looking down on sides which have spent beyond their means and are not seeing quite the success they’d expect given the financial investments.

I used to fear trips to places like Ipswich and if I’m being totally honest I’d have taken a draw before kick-off.

But Scott Arfield's late header gave us all three points and it means we have won the last seven games, against some pretty decent sides as well.

The big one is up next on Saturday, Harry Redknapp's QPR side are the visitors to the Turf on Saturday and it will be another big test of what this squad is capable of.

QPR are one of the sides who have spent big this summer to try and get that instant return to the Premier League.

But as it stands we sit two points above them in the Championship table. The game’s on our patch and I genuinely think we will go into the game with the confidence that the run of results we are on gives players.

We've nothing to fear from any side in this division and I just hope we have a bumper crowd on the Turf to see Dyche’s revolution continue.
