Mark Hughes has revealed Andy Todd WILL start for Blackburn Rovers against Nancy tonight.

The defender - and club captain - has not started a game for Rovers since he had a fall-out with Hughes in the opening week of the season.

But with Stephane Henchoz ineligible and Zurab Khizanishvili still injured, Todd is set to be brought in from the cold following an impressive substitute's performance against Newcastle.

"He'll play tonight. I thought he came in and did very well against Newcastle," said Hughes.

"As I keep saying to all the players who've been out of the team and haven't been involved for a while, they've got to be fit and well and ready to make an impact when they're called upon, and I thought Andy was.

"It's been difficult for him. Obviously, I brought Andre Ooijer to the club and I wanted to have a look at him.

"He's settled down extremely well now and looks very strong.

"Zurab also started the season very well so I kept them together.

"So Andy has been unfortunate, but he was able to come in and make an impact, which is what you want from players out of the team."
