FRUSTRATED Accrington Stanley manager John Coleman slammed his side's defensive frailties for their sixth defeat in seven league games.

The Reds came from behind to lead Milton Keynes Dons 2-1 at half-time courtesy of a Paul Mullin brace.

But they leaked three second-half goals, and were reduced to 10 men in the process with Robbie Williams picking up two yellow cards, and a late fightback wasn't enough to salvage a point.

"I can't condone the way we're defending. That's shambolic," Coleman fumed.

"We've scored three magnificent goals, they've scored one good goal.

"That's the top and bottom of it. We've gifted them another three.

"If we keep defending like that, we'll go down, it's as simple as that.

"So we've got to not defend like that so we'll stay up.

"I thought we showed a great spirit to get back to 4-3.

"If we'd scored that goal five minutes earlier and got it back to 3-3 it might have been a different game."

He added: "It's nice for Paul to get on the scoresheet but disappointing that they haven't counted for anything."
