Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton could be back in action before Christmas after a scan on his injured hamstring showed the damage is not as serious as first feared.
Emerton pulled up sharply during the defeat at Charlton and it has now been confirmed that he suffered a grade one tear.
That means the 27-year-old is likely to be out for two to three weeks, so the player is targeting the game at Arsenal on December 23 as the date for a possible comeback.
